Welcome to our Community Projects

Why sharing articles from our community projects is important

Sharing our content with your community means the world to us. Our community projects are at the heart of what we do. Not only does it show your interest and investment in us (which is incredible). It also gives other people the opportunity to discover us and our cause too.

This means that we can help you and help the environment, by making your contribution to making a brighter future through embedding a circular economy

Our blog hosts a wealth of content, from our events, charity work, workshops and more from all of our community projects. Our is to aim to keep our articles and posts relatively short and to the point. We also love to shout about the good news and exciting stories we come across while we’re out and about.

We will be documenting what goes down in HQ and beyond. You will also see how we help out with our local community projects that have be devised by our team to deliver a fantastic experience for everyone involved. Welcome to the circle economy.

What to expect on our blog

We will share news and stories about what we encounter, some of our fantastic finds, the visitors we have coming to see what we are up to, information about our workshops and events that we have run to. There is plenty going on at The Recycle Project which means we have plenty to be constantly sharing with you. Ensure this page is bookmarked and you have it saved on your home screen to make getting here easy and you don’t miss out on the community projects we are working on..

JustGiving

We have set up a campaign to help us raise £5000 to help fund our amazing free workshops. Please share.

Follow our community projects on social media too!

Social media is important to us. It is how we connect with our audiences and share our campaigns and information on our free workshops and more. We have all our events on Facebook, our Instagram is alive with fun, bright pictures of what we are up to and selling, we also have YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn.

in the workshops...

We have a lot going on in there from running free workshops that members of the public can come and attend, commission work and up-cycling various different things. We will be bringing an insight into the magic that goes on in these fantastically equipped learning spaces. Delivering courses from pallet works to arts and crafts.

The Recycle Community Events

The Recycle Project runs events at the shop in Layerthorpe. Our team is working tirelessly to bring together events that can benefit everyone and get as much of our stock back into the community as possible. This where we will update you with new dates, success stories and challenges we have faced along the way and much more.

Charity Work

Our Charity work

We collaborate with multiple charities throughout York and are always looking for more to try and help. Here we will be sharing some of the charities with whom we work, what they do and how we help them and it will also be a space for them to take advantage of and use too, to help promote any of their ongoing campaigns.
