We spend time, effort and resources, so you can come, learn and build a bird feeder
Showcasing the amazing work that is completed in our workshops is something we take great pride in.In this article we will discuss and demonstrate our fantastic bird feeders. Remember, everything done at The Recycle project is recycled, recovered or reclaimed.

When members of the public attend The Recycle Project to take part in one of our many workshops, not only do they gain valuable life experiences, meet new friends but they also get to create something special. Supported by a team of passionate people, everyone comes away with something.
What’s going on in the community?
Guidance through the whole process
We know that not everyone is handy with tools, has the equipment nor knowledge to do something like build a bird feeder, never mind build a bird feeder from reclaimed wood. With the support from our staff members, we are able to provide a safe place that people can come and safely gain knowledge and hands-on experience.

The pallet works workshop (the workshop in which we created the bird feeder) is a full day workshop, it runs from 8.45am until 4.30pm. You have 2x 15minute breaks and a full hour for lunch. We are only a couple of minutes away from Morrison’s on James Street or a short walk into York City centre.
You might be wondering at this point what happens to the bird feeders at the end of the day. Well, the answer is simple; one of two things. The person who has made the project will be able to pay for their project and take it home. The bird feeder is only £25 (prices vary per project) and these funds go back into the community by helping support the workshops and recycling revolution. You can get more information on the workshops we run by visiting our Workshop section or pressing the button below to go straight to the Bird feeder workshop page and fill out your information.
