Believe in the Magic

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

It’s (almost) that time of year again. Where we all tap into our festive selves and try to do our part for the people around us and the wider community.

Here at The Recycle Project, having the community at the heart of what we do, we have put our heads together to bring you something special.

We over over the moon with the reception up to now. We have had one of our volunteers, Sarah, around York, meeting, greeting and getting some fantastic donations for the 50 boxes that we are going to be putting together for those most in need this year. Would you like to get involved?

We are appealing to local and national businesses who might like to get involved with us. Helping us give back to the people who might not have a great deal this year.

We are looking for anything that both women and men could benefit from. Toiletries, body wash, mouth wash, socks, gloves, scarves, anything to put a smile on their face (we’ve had Nestle donate some Yorkies!).

Nothing is too small and someone out there will benefit.

We have an exciting campaign in the making and we will be taking to the streets of York throughout December giving the gift boxes out to those who we find.

If you know of someone who may need some help this festive season, then get in touch. If you’d like to help someone this year, then also, get in touch. If you are another organisation who think we could collaborate, we are always open to ideas about how we can help our people out.

These causes are close to home for our staff. We are forever thankful for the donations we have already received, we will be documenting this exciting project and sharing our belief in the magic of Christmas. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get moving!

At this point, we would like to extend our massive thanks to WHSmith Monks Cross, Iceland Clifton Moor, Sports Direct Coney Street, Boots Monks Cross, Wilko Clifton Moor, Asda Monks Cross, Nestle York, Tesco Clifton Moor + Askham Bar who have already donated.

Stay tuned, there will be videos, pictures and more blog posts being created so make sure you head over to our socials and keep up to speed with everything that’s going on here at The Recycle Project.
