£1 sale event… what’s that I hear you say?

£1 sale event in York, the first of it’s kind!

At The Recycle Project we like to be different. The birth of the £1 sale event concept was born out of a want to give back to the people who need it the most. At a time where we know that there is an absolute abundance of ‘stuff,’ we have created something rather special that is helping give back. We know that the money in your pocket means more now than ever. So making it work hard for you and be beneficial to you and your family is going to be of the utmost importance. We hear ya!

What we have decided to do, is take a random selection of our stock, sit it out front, under our on-site gazebo, ready for our community to come and take advantage of our amazing £1 sale event. That’s right, everything you see in there is £1. Not only that but we are helping reduce waste to landfill by helping us put these items back into the community.

With our £1 sale event you help us save 40 tonnes per month from landfill!

Did you know, that by coming to these events and helping us put these very worth goods back into the community and into a good home, We can proudly say that we recover over 40 tonnes from household waste and recycling centres around North Yorkshire.

As we grow and develop, we would love you to come along on this journey and not only help yourself (to a bargain) and the community but you are also helping us reduce our carbon footprint by reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill.

Our £1 sale event is pretty simple, it runs from when the shop opens at 9am and runs until we close at 5pm. We have a selection of items that are allocated to the sale and you come and see what bargains you can come and find yourself.

Try and bring your own bag where possible and a keen eye. If nothing in the £1 sale peaks your interests, then we do have a shop stocked full of items that we have recovered, reclaimed and recycled ready for you. At the moment we are unable to process card payments so we would insist that you bring cash with you, so you are able to take advantage.

We are very proud of the work we do and invite you along on the circular economy train. The £1 sale event is one of many things to come so make sure you stay tuned in to The Recycle Project and tell your friends about us too!
